Stilbaai Adventures Team
Where passion and adventure merge
welcome
As a child of parents working for the South African National Parks Board, Eugene spent most of his forming years exploring the South African coastline. This greatly stirred up a passion for adventure and a love for nature and all it has to offer.
Many years down the line, combining his love for nature, God and people, the Geared for Life initiative was founded. As co-founder of this initiative, our dream was to expose teens to nature, adventure and the Creator.
The passion for exposing people to adventure evolved into establishing Stilbaai Adventures in 2017. Back then we started as an adventure operator only, but with the exciting addition of the Stilbaai Adventures retail store, we have now evolved into a multifaceted adventure establishment.

Meet Us
Our expert team
With years of adventure experience and some very knowledgeable staff, we are able to assist you with all your adventure requirements.

Eugene
Growing up in various coastal towns across South Africa kindled his adventure spirit. By day, Eugene is a husband and father to two little adventurers. By night he is a consulting Engineering Geologist. Since moving to Stilbaai in 2016, Eugene qualified as a sea kayak guide and a Class III Coxswain at the NSRI. His love for the sea and nature in general, has led to the establishment and expansion of Stilbaai Adventures.

Monica
Lifetime adventurer and professional athlete, Monica is the perfect addition to the team. If you don’t see her at her retail store, she will either be found running, cycling or swimming. Its reported by trusted sources, that even medication (prescribed by her GP husband) does not help to keep her from jumping around the whole day…
She has been an integral piece in the puzzle of the Stilbaai Adventures Retail Store. She is a wife and mother to three daughters, born and bred adventurers themselves.

Simoné
Growing up in the Limpopo province as part of a family of nature lovers and adventure seekers, it’s in her blood. She spent much of her childhood on game farms, hand rearing orphaned animals, shooting targets and getting dirty.
Moving down to Stilbaai, her family owns and operates a Buffalo farm just outside of town. She is studying part time whilst also being an integral part of the Stilbaai Adventures Team.

The bomb-squad
Stefan and Susan (aka S&s) are born and bred children of Africa. Their lives can probably only be described as 50 years of life, but a 100 years of experience. The resume of these two probably will require a book set. In short, they have exposed thousands of youngsters to adventure and nature. Both are qualified Coxswains at the NSRI and sea kayak guides. Their love and enthusiasm for nature is contagious.
When not helping Stilbaai Adventures, Stefan is a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer and Susan farms fulltime on their family farm just outside Stilbaai. Both are also intricately involved in Rivaero, a company responsible for the research, development and construction of the soon to be launched, proudly South African gyroplane.

Clifton
With a lifetime of paddling rivers, seas and flatwater, Clifton is by far the most experienced water baby in our team. He has ascended countless mountain peaks and traversed km’s of South African landscapes.
Clifton is an inspiration and example to many of what a healthy mind and body is. We are fortunate that he joins our bomb-squad in times of need. As a retired business man, Clifton is the co-founder and guide of the Alikreukel Hiking Trail. This is one of South Africa’s best slackpacking routes and a definite bucket list experience.
